Prof. H.C. Berann was the most prolific panoramic artist ever. He was also a talented landscape and figure painter whose work graced many books, pamphlets and posters. Prof. Berann passed away December 1999 at the age of 84. The official website about his work and life is located at:

Published under the Marco Polo label by Mairs Geographisher Verlag, these beautiful large scale panoramas were produced in collabaration with his long time collegue Heinz Vielkind out of the Panorama-Studio Berann Vielkind Nachfolger in Salzburg Austria. The studio carries on the style of Prof. Berann to this day.
